Meet Karen, owner of Driving Miss Daisy Harefield. Following a well-established career in the social care sector, Karen left her senior position to set up Driving Miss Daisy Harefield in 2017. The unique business model was appealing as it gave her the opportunity to continue to make a difference in people’s lives which was important, alongside providing a personal and compassionate service. Driving Miss Daisy is more than a wheelchair taxi. Karen is fortunate to have fantastic companion drivers who also hold the same values and ensure that we can say, ‘We are family when family can’t be there’.

Karen and the team take pride in their work and offer accessible transport & companionship to members of the Harefield community who need it most, whether it be to medical appointments, social events or just for a stroll in the local park. Karen’s longstanding voluntary work also continues alongside the driving & companionship business; being there for people has always been a critical part of her life.
