How much does Driving Miss Daisy cost?

Every journey is different, so we calculate the cost of Driving Miss Daisy services based on the client’s requirements. We recommend you give us a call for a quote to tell us where you want to go if you’d like us to stay with you or just provide the transport, and whether you need any mobility assistance or companionship. We quote for all journeys before the trip commences.

Can my companion driver stay with me at my appointment?

If you need additional support; our companion drivers will stay with you and even take notes to report back to family members if necessary.

I’m not in a wheelchair, is the service suitable for me?

Whilst we cater to the elderly and disabled with our wheelchair assisted vehicles, our service is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. We offer a safe, reliable school transport service, transport students to college or university, and holiday transport to airports, coach stations or docks, day trips and excursions or transportation to the cinema, theatre, restaurants, and concerts.

Do I need to be a member to use the service?

No, anyone can use the Driving Miss Daisy service.

If I want to go on holiday can you take me to the airport?

Yes, we can take you wherever you’d like to go. We can take you to the airport, but we can also help you plan your trip and join you as a companion if necessary.

This service sounds ideal for a relative; would I be able to pay for it, though?

Yes, for many of our clients, a relative pays the service; they are invoiced via email. We also assist clients with dementia who may get confused or upset when handling money; emailing the invoice to a relative takes the stress and worry away from the client, who can sit back and enjoy the ride.

I want a regular journey once a week, can I book in advance?

Absolutely, we are a pre-booked service, so we encourage booking in advance to secure your preferred journey time.

I live away from my family, can I book a companion driver to visit my parents?

Our motto is ‘We are family when family can’t be there’, whether it’s popping in to have a cuppa and a chat or taking relatives out for a few hours. We will give you the peace of mind that everyone is cared for.

Can you offer longer journeys, or is it just local trips?

With teams throughout the UK, we can help take you to your holiday destination outside of your local area, either within the UK or internationally, if needed.

Can you travel in a wheelchair in your vehicles?

Yes, most of our vehicles are fully adapted to take a wheelchair.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We are a pre-bookable service, so we always say give us as much notice as you possibly can, and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
