Hello! I’m Martin Buglass, and I’m proud to bring the trusted Driving Miss Daisy service to the Rushden community.

After 11 incredible years in New Zealand—where I ran a successful boutique accommodation business and held leadership roles in the tourism sector—I witnessed firsthand the powerful impact Driving Miss Daisy had on people’s lives. It became the leading companion driving service there, offering more than just transport: it offered connection, dignity, and independence.

Now back in the UK, I’m excited to bring that same spirit to Rushden.

WHY DRIVING MISS DAISY?

Driving Miss Daisy is more than a transport service. We provide safe, reliable, and friendly companion driving for those who need a little extra support—whether it’s getting to appointments, running errands, or simply enjoying a day out. Our service is tailored to individuals who may be elderly, less mobile, or living with health conditions that make independent travel a challenge.

A PERSONAL MISSION

Living with Spinocerebellar Ataxia has given me a deep understanding of the importance of mobility and independence. My 77-year-old mother also faces similar challenges, which has only strengthened my commitment to helping others maintain their freedom and quality of life.

This personal connection is what drives my passion for Driving Miss Daisy. I know how transformative it can be to have someone you trust by your side—someone who listens, supports, and truly cares.

COMMUNITY FOCUSED

In New Zealand, I was deeply involved in community development, serving as a Board Member and Chair of our local tourism organisation for nine years. I’m bringing that same community spirit to Rushden—working closely with local groups, families, and care providers to ensure our service meets the unique needs of our town.
