Driving Miss Daisy Ipswich

Nigel Stead

We started Driving Miss Daisy Ipswich in 2017; and despite the interruption of the global pandemic, we have four wheelchair accessible vehicles on the road most days. Our days are very busy, to the point where we encourage our customers to book a week in advance to secure their preferred times.

Our team currently consists of two men and two women who have children. Their backgrounds include customer service, nursing and personal fitness trainer! The work we do is varied with several companionship jobs, which helps fight isolation in the community.

Our growing reputation stems from how we care for our customers; we treat them like our friends and give their relatives peace of mind; especially those who don’t live locally or are too busy to attend some appointments.

We are dementia friendly and have a wide variety of customers ranging from 17 to 104 years old!
