Alastair is originally from Australia but now resides in the beautiful Malvern Hills area of Worcestershire. He is married to Worchestershire born Katherine; his partner in business and fun, who he met whilst Katherine travelled and worked overseas. Together they are raising 8-year old Hamish, who keeps them both on their toes.
Alastair and Katherine have worked in and around twelve different Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth Games. Alastair also worked on the 2010 FIFA World Cup and several other World Championships, which makes him an interesting person to share a car journey. This work in a variety of cross-cultural programs makes him a very multi-cultural person in both outlook and attitude; he enjoys working with people from all over the world.
As an accomplished event professional, Katherine has also worked in various locations worldwide, including Canada, Qatar, and China. Her career path has seen her utilizing multiple skills and experiences in Operations and Project Management. A big part of her work has been with people with disabilities in sports; Katherine was a team liaison for the Dutch Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team at the recent European Championships in Worcester.
Katherine and Alastair see Driving Miss Daisy as a fantastic opportunity to assist the Malvern Hills Community members. Whether it be short trips to run errands or attend appointments, or longer day trips shared with long time friends, Driving Miss Daisy is a way for folks to retain their independence and get out and about to enjoy the world they live in.
